Cinderella Adult Costume in 3 Steps

Cinderella, Cinderella, Cinderella, the girl of the ashes. Once enslaved by her evil step mother and sisters, she wore rags and a white kerchief to cover her blonde hair. Hard to find without a broom or cleaning on her hands and feet, Cinderella did not have much time to tend to her beauty.

Furthermore, she had no mother to teach her the ways to apply eye shadow and lipstick. And although she lived in a house of women, there was no one willing to give her insight of how to put oneself together. You might think that this girl had far from a chance of becoming a beauty queen. But Cinderella's inner beauty ran so deep that all she needed was a quick snap of a wand by her fairy godmother and she could become the belle of the ball.

Want to know the fairy godmother's guide to style so that you too can look like a princess this Halloween? Follow these three easy steps and finally allow your inner beauty to shine.

Step One - Glass Slippers. It is nearly impossible to find authentic glass shoes, but if magically you do, it will probably be even harder a challenge to walk in them. So stick to an old pair of ballet slippers, or simple light colored shoes that have a small (one inch or less) heel. For a version of Cinderella after the ball, you can choose to wear one "glass" shoe and then have one shoe off.

Step Two - Blue gown. With princesses known for their dresses, the fairy god mother picked a design and color that would make Cinderella stand out. Luckily for you, the puffy blue dress can be found at costume shops and in local dress shops. Depending on the age of your Cinderella, look in sections for communion, prom, or even brides made dresses to find the right gown.

Step Three - Blonde wig. Most people do not know, but what really captured the Prince's heart was Cinderella's hair. Once washed, groomed through, and put in a bun it carried no resemblance to a head covered in dirt and ashes. To find the same hair, call up your local fairy, or go online.

Cinderella also wore a black headband and white gloves, so add these accessories as your final touches.

You might like to take a few lessons on behavior from Cinderella. While her step sisters and step mother bossed her around, Cinderella never complained or fought back to their commands. She kept her heart warm and open, surrounding herself with furry friends. She had an outstanding patience and never thought she deserved to be as grand a princess. While you want to over look her party exit, her treatment of others really showed exemplary behavior. Because of these virtues it was so easy for Cinderella to go from rags to riches.

So if you are sick of cleaning up other people's dirty work and want a special night of your own, dress up as Cinderella. Just keep in mind that there is a twelve o'clock curfew.
